Challenge + Solution.
For this project, we were tasked with created two music broadsides. One of the poster’s design was revolved around the typographic logo, which utilized one lyric from the song. The design of the logo had to reflect what the meaning of the lyric was. For the second poster, the lyrics had to work with an image that indirectly reflected the meaning of the lyrics as well.
Additionally, the broadside designs were carried out through a series of social media images.
I chose the Song “Sing (To Noise Making)” by Hozier. The song itself is a celebration of the act of singing. Essentially, it doesn’t matter how talented a person is, it’s enough to just sing. “At the end of the day, if you find some comfort in it, it’s still a worthwhile act,” Hozier said to Apple Music.
